Make sure that the nozzle is not clogged and that the filament is properly inserted into the extrusion head. The most common reason for filament not loading correctly is a bad filament tip. Ensure the end of the filament has a clean break and does not contain any kinks or strings. It is recommended that you cut a small amount of filament off the tip to ensure a clean tip. Please also ensure that you are running the "load" function, and that the extruder has heated to the appropriate temperature.
