Both ceramic chips and cutting powder can be used with water.
The media fill should be just below half of the barrel.
Add components, chemical/powder if using and then add water.
For grinding application this should be just above the level of the media.
For less abrasive/polishing processes slightly increase the water level to promote a less abrasive scenario.
