It is advised to change the water and solution after each use and to thoroughly clean the barrel, especially if there is a change in material being cleaned as there could be contaminants in the solution.
We have advised on the barrelbrite page that the ratio should be;
10g of powder per litre of shot
Fill the barrel half way with cold water - please note the more water used the gentler the action.
Times for tumbling can vary and it's up to the user to keep an eye on the finish. It is generally advised 3 hrs as a starting point depending on the 'state' of the piece.
