To achieve our recommended thickness of enamel, stir 8 parts by weight of wet process dry with 3 parts by weight of water until smooth. If you prefer, you can vary the powder to water ratio to suit your requirements. It is then ready to apply. Apply the copper or steel groundcoat, depending on what metal you are using. The copper groundcoat can be used to give an off-white base on which to apply wet process colours.
You can then apply the colour by spraying, dipping, or painting with a brush.
Follow with firing the enamel - the firing temperature is between 800°C and 820°C, but you can experiment with higher and longer firing of wet process enamels to produce different effects.
